Frequently asked questions
Which battery services can NEV model?
We can model a variety of value streams independently or simultaneously, including: demand charge reduction, time-of-use arbitrage, wholesale energy arbitrage, solar-self consumption, Frequency Control Ancillary Service market participation (all six Contingency Raise and Lower markets) and network support services. Each site and client will have different requirements and opportunities which will determine the best 'value stack'.
How much does it cost to use NEV battery and VPP modelling services?
We've designed our services to be as affordable and accessible as possible. We price our services with batch pricing on a per site per scenario basis. Regular users of our services can also opt to pay a monthly service fee that offers a significant discount to our batch pricing. Please get in touch to access our latest pricing.
What customer segments or use cases can you model?
Whilst our services are most commonly used for analysing Commercial & Industrial 'behind-the-meter' batteries, we have also provided for modelling the viability of residential VPP’s, generator co-located batteries, network support batteries and vehicle-to-grid (V2G), as a small sample of our tailored modelling. Let us know if you require any bespoke modelling services.
What other services do you offer for VPP market entrants?
We offer a range of strategic support services for VPP or battery proponents. For example, we can help you fine-tune your business model, differentiate yourself from competitors, navigate the regulatory/compliance complexities, set-up an effective sales strategy and negotiate strongly with a counterparty.
